The Vista Interactive Phone module (VIP) turns every touch-tone phone into a security keypad. The VIP allows access to the system anywhere a touch-tone phone exist.
The VIP speaks in clear English voice with a one hundred-word vocabulary that immediately describes open zones such as "Front Door". In addition, the VIP will prompt you as to what action is necessary. For example, "Armed away, you may exit now."
To arm the system, simply call from any touch-tone phone, and follow the prompts to check the status and arm the system if you like.
The VIP is also used to provide many useful functions beyond security. For example, a telephone can be used to remotely turn on or off lights.
